C. Lowe by Scarlet & Gold Launch Party

Yesterday I hit up the C. Lowe by Scarlet & Gold launch party before going out for a friend's birthday. There are really very few events in Seattle I get dressed up for (a plaid shirt would probably still be appropriate at some of the cities nicest restaurants), so it was nice to have a reason to get a little fancy.

I do have to say, in salute to this amazing article that went viral this week, What I Instagrammed Vs. What Was Really Happening, Or My Entire Life Is A Lie, the the launch party was a unique experience to say the least.

We waited in line for about 45 minutes. I was in heels...which never happens! My friend and I were joking that it was a sick reminder of sorority recruitment, a line of girls dressed to the nine waiting anxiously outside. But hey, it gave me a chance to wear my new romper.

I guess I underestimated how many Bachelor fans there are and how many would actually pay for and attend a launch party for one of the winners. Someone walked up to us in line and asked what the event was. I just kind of stood there trying to think of the right words to describe it as my friend explained that there is this show called the Bachelor (the woman thought she had heard of it before) and the winner from last season is from Seattle and that she launched a line of stationary and that is why a few hundred women are standing in line for something other than a club on a Saturday night.

Once we were inside it was busy, but we grabbed a quick dessert and checked out Catherine's line.

Here are my favorites:

Pizza | Lowe Notes: This one is perfect for any of my college rommies
My Faves | Lowe Notes: I hope Tom from MySpace gets this on his bday

Served | Placemats: With my cooking, you probably wished you had been served
Eat Me | Placemats: A fun reminder in case you slept through cotillion back in the day

The Bachelorette season finale is tomorrow! My bracket might be busted, but I'm counting down the hours to overindulge on cheese and wine while watching with my best friends.
